We gathered outside ”Koppartälten” at dawn for a toast in Sake for the new Budo Year 2024 in Yoshinken. It was very nice to have Sensei Marshall with us this Shin-nen-keiko.

After a longer Ritsu zen, where Sensei Marshall helped with adjustments followed by Yuri, Hai and Neri. The pair training consisted of Sui-shu then everyone did a short Tanshu which finished the physical part of Shin-nen-keiko. It was 2 hour of training in stillness in a wintery landscape.

We ate lunch in Hagaparken and then gathered in OKK's Dojo for a knowledge test in Taikiken and to look at the contributions with pictures and text that all members sent in. We ended the day with a nice dinner at the restaurant where we ate for the first time many years ago at one of the first weekend seminars in the early 2000s.

As usual, Shin-nen-keiko feels special as you set your guidelines for the training for the coming year and look back at what we have done in the past.
