The First training (Keiko) of the new year

Saturday

Shin-nen-keiko 2022 traditionally started with a toast in sake during the sunrise in the Echo Temple.

Our thoughts went to Sensei Marshall who was unable to attend due to pandemic and illness but also to the late Sensei Jan Kallenbach where there were claves at our shomen to remember him.

We talked about the past year and that in Ritsuzen we should have our thoughts on what has been and what we want to achieve with our training in 2022.

After a long Ritsuzen, Yuri and Hai, we did Neri with input from the elements in Budo / Wushu. All members were then asked what they want to include in the training in 2022.

Shin-nen-keiko ended with a Tanshu from each Budoka and then a Hachi Dan Gin at a slow pace.
